Keeping Projects Organized
When setting up your projects, think long-term. Choose projects that reflect your core business activities - the ones that really impact your bottom line. This will make your reporting more meaningful and save you time in the long run.
Archiving vs. Deleting
Need to clean up your project list? Here's how it works: as a manager, you can archive any project, but you can only delete ones that haven't logged any hours. This helps protect your historical data while keeping things tidy.
How Archiving Works
When you archive a project, here's what happens:
- For the current month: The project stays visible but won't accept new time entries
- For future months: The project won't appear in timesheets
- In reports: Projects with recorded hours remain visible
- Need it back? No problem - you can always restore archived projects
Quick Steps
Ready to archive? Just go to the Projects menu, select your project, and use the menu (⋮) to archive it. You'll find all your archived projects in the Archive section, where you can restore them if needed.
Remember: Projects with recorded hours will still show up in reports for the months they were active. It's our way of making sure you never lose important historical data.
